A "Virtual Bodyguard" for your mobile device
SecurStar, a leading IT security company, just announced today the global launching of their new product PositionTracer. To contribute to the protection of people and property, the IT security specialist has now developed PositionTracer, software for GPS-enabled mobile phones or devices. This brand new product will transform any GPS-enabled cellular phone or device in to your "Virtual Bodyguardl". SecurStar recently presented this new software product at the CeBIT trade show in Hanover, Germany, one of the most important fairs in the world of technology. For the first time, PositionTracer is now available worldwide to the public. After monitoring several cases of kidnapping and theft of property, SecurStar developed PositionTracer, software to be installed on mobile phones or devices, which allows the unit to be monitored and located in real time via the Internet. With this innovative product, it is now possible to determine the location of people, as well as, valuables. For GPS-enabled mobile phones or devices, PositionTracer now makes possible satellite-based live position tracking - exact to within a few meters, as opposed to conventional cellular phone location methods. With this software solution, current locations and route histories can be easily tracked online, on a map or satellite image in real time. Zones can be defined to trigger an alarm by e-mail, text message, messenger, etc., whenever anyone enters or leaves the area. The PositionTracer acts as a mobile virtual bodyguard to its owner, and is especially suitable for the location of children, elderly, or those that are disabled or ill. In urgent situations, such as an accident, kidnapping, illness, or even theft, an emergency signal can be sent simply by pressing the "PANIC" button. For example, if a child wanders off path on their way to school or the park, parents are immediately informed through a signal via their cell phone and are able to act quickly for their safe return. Functions like these offer a great deal of protection for both people and property. |
